Artificial grass will soon be making a sporting debut at Walkers Stadium, as Leicester City swaps its tired natural grass pitch for a 10 per cent artificial grass weaving.

Work began this week to bring artificial grass to Leicester City, with diggers removing the club’s natural pitch so it can be swiftly replaced with a new playing field which will be strengthened by synthetic grass fibres.

The pitch refurbishment project will see natural grass cultivated within an artificial grass weave, over a nine week period.

The move will see The Foxes become proud owners of a pitch that’s fit for purpose and can rival the artificial pitches used by Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Leicester City fans also hope a newly refurbished pitch will become a “platform for promotion” next year, as the club’s players may well perform even better after training and playing on an improved surface.

Artificial grass isn’t just great for those actually treading the pitch though. Football clubs and their brand partners rely on Evergreens for promotional football pitches and logo mats too.
