Artificial grass in series 11's Big Brother garden
Big Brother is set to return to our screens later this year, promising to be bigger and better than ever before. And as synthetic turf has always featured in the Big Brother house, the latest series could mean bigger and better things for artificial grass installations too.
The site of many sunbathing moments, Big Brother challenges and controversial Jacuzzi scenes, the Big Brother garden has been a regular fixture on our screens – with Evergreens having provided a variety of artificial lawns and surfaces for the Elstree house over the years.
And the enduring popularity of the Big Brother garden is something that never escaped the notice of the show’s producers, who have commissioned bolder landscaping and garden features with every new series.
With garden love nests, Jacuzzis, crazy golf surfacing and even fairground carousels featuring in the Big Brother garden over the years, commentators are right to expect bigger and bolder designs for 2011. Especially as the programme’s execs are said to be keen on getting Cheryl Cole to present the show and having Charlie Sheen feature as a housemate, as well as upping the winning cash prize to £500,000.
And with the Environment Agency having forecast that temperatures will soar this summer, leading to hosepipe bans across the country, Big Brother viewers can expect to see housemates spend plenty of time sunning themselves in the garden this year.

Soaring temperatures and predicted hosepipe bans are likely to dry out natural lawns, making artificial grass a hot tip for summer
The Environment Agency has warned that soaring temperatures could soon cause water shortages and hosepipe bans that tend to dry out natural lawns, making artificial grass a hot tip for this summer.
According to The Telegraph, the agency’s latest figures show England and Wales only received 21mm of rain last month – making March 2011 Britain’s driest March in over 50 years.
With such low levels of rainfall, and temperatures expected to further soar over summer, it looks increasingly likely that hosepipe bans will come into effect – meaning natural grass gardens, sports pitches, golf courses and play areas could soon look withered and much less appealing than their synthetic counterparts.
The Environment Agency also warned of a North and South water divide, as heavy rain is forecasted for Northern England and floods for some parts of Scotland, meaning natural lawns in the north may become waterlogged, muddy and unmanageable.
And it’s not just the Environment Agency with water worries on its mind: The Synthetic Turf Council also recently suggested replacing natural grass sports fields and children’s play areas in arid climates with artificial turf could help to cut down on the amount of water used to keep natural lawns well-watered and looking green – making artificial grass look all the greener and environmentally friendly by comparison.

Experts at the Synthetic Turf Council have said that artificial grass is a green choice for golf courses, children's play areas, sports fields and gardens.
Experts at the Synthetic Turf Council have said that artificial grass is environmentally friendly, making it the perfect choice for gardeners, golfers and parents looking to swap green-fingered garden chores for green living.
According to the council, replacing natural grass sports fields, golf courses and children’s play areas in arid climates with artificial turf could help to cut down on the amount of water used to keep natural lawns well-watered and looking green.
In fact, experts have estimated that over three billion gallons of water could be saved by installing artificial grass in children’s play areas and sports fields in North America alone.
What’s more, the council has said that artificial turf doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizers to keep it looking lush and green, meaning nearby environs are less exposed to potentially harmful chemicals.
And as gardeners don’t need to mow artificial turf, caretakers can put away the lawn mower and miss out on tiresome garden up-keep while also saving energy and reducing carbon emissions from petrol-powered garden tools.
Further still, officials at the council pointed out that artificial grass has even more green benefits, as it is often made by recycling disused tyres and other potentially caustic waste products.

Artificial putting greens and more artificial grass golf products will be on display at the National Golf Show 2011
From the putting green to manicured club-house lawns, there’s no separating grass from golf. So, it’s hardly surprising that this year’s National Golf Show is bringing artificial grass to the fore of every golf enthusiast’s thoughts – whether they are professionals or part-timers.
Opening April 15-17 at the NEC Birmingham, the National Golf Show 2011 gives golf lovers the chance to practice their swing, pick up new clubs, have their photo taken with the Ryder Cup and mix with industry pros.
But it’s not just golf clubs and caddies that will be stealing the limelight, as our artificial grass golfing products will be showcased alongside the exhibition’s sporting displays.
Meaning golfing enthusiasts can get up close and personal with our artificial putting greens and golf tee mats – perfect for practicing at home.
On the other hand, golfing pros and clubhouse managers can talk with our experts about installing pathway surfacing, distance markers, crazy golf surfacing, synthetic putting greens and more.
And with experts predicting that soaring summer temperatures are likely to see hosepipe bans brought into effect - bad news for some golfers, as this can lead to the withering of natural golfing greens and a decline in surface quality – choosing to golf on artificial grass may be the best way to ensure you get to tee-off this summer.

Fake Grass display at Harvey Nics store
Now that spring has officially sprung, shoppers visiting the perfume counters of their nearest Harvey Nichols department store are likely to leave with a spring in their step, as our artificial grass has been used to help create a blooming lovely spring display for Marc Jacobs’ Daisy fragrance.
Instead of a clinical counter, shoppers will find that they can retreat to Marc Jacobs’ specially-designed daisy studded garden where they can enjoy a little artificial greenery underfoot or sit themselves on a garden bench when trying out new perfumes from the couturier’s popular range.
While the designer’s Daisy and Daisy Eau So Fresh scents are sure to create a seasonal stir wherever they’re sprayed, shoppers are sure to feel daisy-fresh and ready for the spring and summer months ahead after taking in the novel garden display. This eye-catching arrangement features grass creeping over the traditional perfume counter, an artificial grass floor and an archway strewn with pale spring blooms.
And while stylish shoppers are sure to delight in Marc Jacobs’ in-store spring display, they may also be impressed by artificial grass’s blossoming style credentials too.
As after successfully debuting at last year’s Chelsea Flower Show, artificial lawns have become a favourite with celebrities such as Amanda Holden, Craig David and Location, Location, Location presenter Phil Spencer.

Artificial Grass in London office
Many office workers are likely to dream of escaping their dull office surrounds to get a little green underfoot, and staff at Mind Candy’s London offices are sure to leave their 9-5 counterparts green with envy as Evergreen’s have just installed an artificial grass floor throughout the company’s London headquarters.
The creators of Moshi Monsters – a social networking site and interactive virtual pet game that’s hugely popular with the under 10's, were looking to transform their office space into somewhere that looked less corporate and reflected the colourful online world inhabited by Moshi Monsters and their pet Moshlings.
And while children adopt a Moshi Monster online and accumulate “Roxs” to buy seeds and green and leafy plants that will attract pet Moshlings, Mind Candy wanted to make sure that their own off-line environment was every bit as green and vibrant. Coupled with a lively cartoon mural, an artificial grass floor certainly does the job!
What’s more, as artificial grass is a big hit with mums and dads looking to create child-friendly gardens at-home, it seems particularly fitting that artificial grass has proved to be a hit with a company that engages with children and their parents, who will no-doubt be glad of a little off-line peace while their little one is online with their pet monster.
Artistic impression of the London 2012 hockey stadium with blue artificial grass.
With rugby and footballing pros talking-up the sporting benefits of training and competing on artificial grass pitches, it’s hardly surprising that artificial grass is set to become a fixture at the London 2012 Olympics.
In fact, artificial grass is set to become a colourful talking point at the London games, as organisers have revealed that in the 2012 Olympics, hockey pitches will be blue and run-off areas will be pink – making it the first Olympic or world event to be played on artificial turf that’s not the traditional green.
While the move to turn artificial hockey pitches from green to a Union-jack blue may seem like a purely patriotic decision, experts have explained that the simple switch in colour could help improve visibility for players, officials, spectators and broadcasters.
“It provides a strong contrast for players against a white ball and white lines,” said GB International Alex Danson.
Kelly Fairweather, chief executive of the International Hockey Federation, added that the use of coloured artificial grass pitches would not just help to improve viewing but is sure to help ensure world-class quality of play as well.
“The playing performance and quality of a pitch are our primary concern,” Fairweather said, going on to explain:
“In addition though, we’re keen to innovate in the presentation of hockey to ensure, among other things, that spectators either in the stadium or on television get a good view of the exciting field action.”
And it’s not just the London 2012 Olympics that are giving coloured artificial grass a glowing endorsement. The Nordic Ski Championships made sure to feature logo-embossed mats and event flooring featuring our white and orange coloured artificial grass products.

John Lewis Artificial Grass Window Display
Not content to wait for natural grass to slowly shoot this spring, John Lewis has brought a stunning spring display of artificial grass to the high-street using our new Wonder Yarn product.
Shoppers heading to John Lewis to look for some new spring and summer threads are sure to have a spring their step when passing the retailers latest display which features elegantly curved chairs, recliners and sofas which seem to be completely covered in grass and blush-hued blooms.
And as Wonder Yarn is uniquely shaped to mirror the differing shapes and tones of blades of real grass, shoppers could be forgiven for thinking they were looking at natural grass when eyeing up the nifty display.
The grassy vista makes the perfect backdrop for showcasing the retailer’s seasonal garden furniture, footwear and fashion collections, especially as shoppers will be easily able to imagine spending time in their own gardens or in the grassy outdoors while enjoying their new spring purchases, as the season quickly warms into summer.
And artificial grass has really grown on other fashionable outlets too, as our artificial grass has recently been used to create a blooming lovely spring display at Harvey Nichols for Marc Jacobs’ Daisy fragrance as well.
Shoppers perusing fragrances at Harvey Nichols will now find grass creeping over Marc Jacobs’ traditional perfume counter in a novel display which also features an artificial grass floor and an archway strewn with pale spring blooms as well.

Artificial Grass Rugby Pitch Logo by Evergreens UK
From fast-paced footballing spectacles to gripping rugby clashes – it’s safe to say sport-loving eyes have been firmly focused pitch-wards recently, especially following football’s Carling Cup and rugby’s Six Nations.
And while sports fans have been fixed on the sporting action, artificial grass pitches seem to be the talk of sporting pros.
The Rugby Football Union, Football Association and Football Foundation have talked openly about how they plan to care for their artificial grass pitches in order to secure world-class quality of play. And Wembley Stadium’s officials said its artificial pitch was the best it’s ever been ahead of the Carling Cup Final.
While England’s rugby team’s manager, Martin Johnson, has reportedly urged officials to approve the creation of a state-of-the-art training centre – complete with a 3G artificial pitch – that will help the English national side better train to meet its artificial pitch-using rivals, which include France and Wales.
Praising artificial grass as a durable turf ideal for rugby training at both school and professional levels, the Rugby Football Union also noted Britain now has more artificial grass pitches for rugby training than any other country in the world.
An RFU spokesman said: “For those clubs or schools, colleges and universities who have limited training space or large numbers of young people playing the game on poor natural turf conditions, artificial turf offers a real opportunity to provide a quality surface upon which to play the game.”
And with clubs like Twickenham turning to Evergreens UK for logo-embossed mats and Bolton Wanderers FC requesting our grass products for pitch-sides and dug-outs as well, artificial grass is becoming a real fixture at Britain’s leading sporting grounds.

Artificial grass suppliers opens the first DOMO-artificial grass pitch of the biggest Sports infrastructure investment ever
Posted by Mofazri at 2:40 PMBELGIUM: Flemish Minister for Sport opens the first DOMO-artificial grass pitch of the biggest Sports infrastructure investment ever
On Friday 17 December 2010, the first Domo VarioSlide S PRO artificial grass soccer pitches, that are realized in the Flemish Sports infrastructure investment plan, are officially opened.

During this opening Flemish minister for Sport, Philip Muyters, and the mayor of Antwerp, Patrick Janssens, explain how Flanders and the of city Antwerp are investing together in artificial grass soccer pitches. Playing on artificial grass has many advantages. Artificial grass can be played on up to five times longer than natural grass in practically all weather conditions. Artificial grass also provides higher playing comfort and a faster, more technical play on a safer playing surface. The pitch “Het Rooi” in Berchem and the “Jef Mermansstadion” in Merksem are the two first pitches that are ready to play on. By the summer of 2012 all 29 Domo-pitches in the first cluster will be realised.

First-division STVV chooses artificial grass pitch from Belgian artificial grass producer
Posted by Mofazri at 2:20 PMArtificial grass pitch from Belgian artificial grass producer Domo
First-division STVV is coming up with a first in Belgian football: the club is having an artificial grass surface laid in its main stadium. An agreement was signed in the Stayen stadium on 26 April 2011 by STVV chairman Roland Duchâtelet and Domo Sports Grass, the market leader in Belgium for high quality artificial grass pitches. So, from next season top division Sint-Truiden will be playing their home matches on Domo VarioSlide S PRO artificial grass.Roland Duchâtelet had already been arguing in favour of allowing artificial grass pitches for first- and second-division matches for some time. At last the Pro League gave the go-ahead earlier this year. The STVV chairman is now putting his words into action by signing a contract on behalf of STVV with Domo Sports Grass. The Belgian artificial turf producer has built up an enviable reputation worldwide over the past 25 years.“Laying an artificial grass surface offers numerous advantages. First of all a FIFA 2STAR approved artificial grass surface has the same technical playing properties as an ideal natural grass pitch”, says STVV chairman Roland Duchâtelet. “You can also play the whole year through on an artificial grass surface. Football days can be organised on artificial grass, with in the afternoons women or young people playing and the first-division team in the evening. That isn’t possible on a natural grass pitch: it would just be played to ruin. Finally, an artificial grass pitch can be played on in all weather conditions. There are no water logging problems with artificial grass. The water is drained away perfectly so the pitch can always be played on.” View the original article here

Domo Sports Grass is providing the artificial grass for 29 football pitches in Flanders.
Posted by Mofazri at 7:44 PMYou are here : Home » Domo Sports Grass is providing the artificial grass for 29 football pitches in Flanders. Wednesday, 20 October, 2010 Artificial grass, Artificial sports grass
Dear Sports Lovers,
Big News! Domo® Sports Grass is providing the artificial grass for the biggest sports infrastructure investment ever in Belgium, Flanders.

On 23 July 2010 the Flemish Government, on the proposal of Philippe Muyters, Flemish Minister for Sport, definitively approved the dossier for the construction of 29 pitches with artificial grass from Domo® Sports Grass. The local authorities that are included in the first cluster of artificial grass pitches are: Aalst (2 pitches), Antwerp (province), Antwerp (city), Borsbeek, Bruges, Ghent (7 pitches), Grimbergen, Halle (2 pitches), Herselt, Huldenberg, Lommel, Maasmechelen (2 pitches), Machelen, Mechelen, Merchtem, Oudenaarde, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, Tongeren, Turnhout and Wommelgem. The first nine courts are to be installed this year, which together amount to approximately 80,000 m².
The selected artificial grass, Domo® VarioSlide S PRO, is an excellent and natural looking grass mat made with a new technology: Heliflex.
After years of research, a controllable spiral form has successfully been affixed to the monofilament yarns of the grass. This technology creates the ultimate grass mat with untried elasticity. When vertical, the spiral yarn is at rest, but as soon as lateral or downward pressure is exerted, the yarn comes under tension, and will want to spring back upright into its natural resting position as quickly as possible. By applying the Heliflex Technology to the entire surface, a pitch is created in which the grass yarns always spring up nice and straight. This means that the ball always rolls or lies on the tips of the upright yarns, which thereby perfectly guarantees the most important playing properties in football: “ball roll” and “foot under the ball”. More than ever before, the players also have the feeling of playing on natural grass.
Various other FIFA 2STAR projects have already been implemented with this type of grass mat, including Billerbeck 2009, Espen Moos 2009 and Oostakker 2009.
Sporty Greetings,
Domo® Sports Grass Crew
CLEARING AWAY SNOW EASILY ON ARTIFICIAL GRASS
Snow and ice do not damage a Domo® artificial grass court made of PE (polyethylene) or PA (polyamide). You can easily clear away a small amount of snow from artificial grass yourself with a tractor and a standard triangular brush (as used in other maintenance). Make sure you always sweep parallel to the seams of the artificial grass court, never across the seams.
CLEARING AWAY SNOW PROFESSIONALLY WITH ARTIFICIAL GRASS
If however there is a thick layer of snow, it is advisable to call in professional assistance. Incorrect mechanical removal of snow from artificial grass can damage the fibres.
Heavy, wet snow is best cleared from artificial grass with a snow plough. The height of the plough must be set such that it cannot make contact with the surface of the artificial grass. The remaining snow (which may be frozen) must be removed manually. The rim of the snowplough must be covered with rubber or another soft material. The air pressure and the size of the wheels must be adapted so that the snowplough does not make grooves in the surface of the artificial grass.
USE OF SALT
To encourage ice to melt you can use salt (calcium chloride). Spread the salt evenly over the artificial grass pitch and allow at least two hours for the ice to start melting. Do not use any other chemical substances.
CAN YOU PLAY ON ARTIFICIAL GRASS DURING FROST OR SNOW?
Playing on an artificial grass pitch when it is freezing without snow or ice on the surface is no problem. (up till minus 15°C)
If there is snow or ice on the surface you cannot play on it. The surface needs to be cleared. If you walk on a snowy pitch you compact the snow creating an icy layer that entraps the grass fibres. It is possible that the fibre will break and create unrepairable damage.

Vfl Billerbeck has been for many years now the permanent base of operations, together with the local sports’ hotel, for many German and foreign sports clubs such as FC Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04, the DFB national team, the Hamburger SV, Slavia Prague, the AZ Alkmaar etc.The club had already seen a number of pitches of the VarioSlide type, and was highly enthusiastic about this top technical playing product. Not only young teams but also the top eleven players will have the opportunity to try out this brand new development in artificial grass for football.Dieter Tartemann DFB football coach and UEFA Pro-Coach, also provided positive advice on this type of grass mat, with which he has several years’ experience himself. The Billerbeck pitch was created to satisfy the strictest FIFA requirements, the FIFA 2STAR in particular, and could therefore also be used without any problem for international competitions. This was also confirmed by the attribution of a FIFA 2 Start certificate. “I have been working for years with artificial grass and this new Domo® VarioSlide S PRO product is definitely a valuable alternative to natural grass. I am really excited by this new development of a total system concept including a top technology underlayer that guarantees playing properties in pretty much any weather conditions. This field meets all of the main criteria for football with flying colours: ball roll and bounce, shock absorption and levelness of the playing field. But the most innovative aspect of this pitch is the Heliflex Technology, the spiral that is built in to the fibre. This fibre ensures the best in terms of elasticity and guarantees that all kicking techniques can be carried out perfectly. In short, this is a wonderful field for training and matches for all football enthusiasts,” says to Tartemann.A TOP GRASS MAT WITH HELIFLEX TECHNOLOGYVarioSlide is an excellent and natural looking grass mat made with combined yarns. The basis is an S PRO monofilament grass mat to which two types of yarn have been added, thereby adding extra added value. S PRO Heliflex provides outstanding elastic fibres resulting in the best properties for play. After many years of research, Domo® has succeeded to affix a controllable helix (or spiral form) to the monofilament. This Heliflex technology creates the ultimate grass mat with untried elasticity. This elasticity is due to an ingeniously integrated spiral effect. When vertical, the spiral yarn is at rest, but as soon as lateral or downward pressure is exerted, the yarn comes under tension, and will want to spring back upright into its natural resting position as quickly as possible. By applying this to the entire surface, a pitch is created in which the grass yarns always spring up nice and straight, thereby perfectly guaranteeing the playing properties of “ball roll” and “foot under the ball”.Other advantages are due to the addition of a monofilm. This combination of a 100% monofilament and an extra profiled monofilm provides the pitch with several new properties that a classic monofilament grass mat does not have. Apart from its outstanding durability, this monofilm also offers the following advantages:1) The monofilm holds the rubber infill in place, preventing it from being displaced during play and keeping the pitch nice and level.2) Sunlight does not come into direct contact with the rubber, thus preventing long-term heating of the grass mat. The helix shape also ensures that less sunlight hits the filament, which means the grass mat heats up less. This helix shape also ensures that the water (after a shower) is retained for longer, allowing the pitch to cool down more. This helps prevent burns during intensive use.3) Topping up with rubber and sweeping are limited by the profiled monofilm net that holds the rubber infill in place and keeps it level during brushing, or when clearing the snow from a pitch. AN ARTIFICIAL GRASS FOOTBALL PITCH IN THE SUMMERS IS AWARDED TWO STARS BY FIFA
Posted by Mofazri at 3:37 PM AN ICE RINK IN THE WINTER AND AN ARTIFICIAL GRASS FOOTBALL PITCH IN THE SUMMER: HELSINKI – KALLION KENTTÄ IS AWARDED TWO STARS BY FIFA Thursday, 16 December, 2010 Artificial grass, Artificial grass for soccer, Artificial sports grass
Country: Finland
City: Helsinki
Product: Domo® Slide DS 60M
Pitch Size: L 105 x W 65
Authorisation Number: AJ-00.32
FIFA Recommended: from 25 October 2010 to 24 October 2011
Nordic countries are increasingly using artificial grass football pitches that can be converted into ice rinks in the winter by laying a special cooling system under the grass mat. The pitch is frozen layer by layer according to a precise procedure until the whole field is covered in a thick layer of ice.
This year, Kallion Kenttä decided to renovate its existing second generation artificial grass pitch, a sand-infilled field with fibrillated yarn. The surface was replaced by a new third-generation artificial grass mat, the Domo® Slide DS 60 M, that was laid and approved according to the FIFA 2-star quality level. The old grass mat was carefully removed in order to avoid damaging the underlying cooling system, including the pipes. The sand layer was levelled out, and the new Domo® Slide DS monofilament grass mat was laid on top of it. This project was implemented without using a shock pad since the shock-absorbing properties were provided by the rubber infill.
Domo® Slide DS guarantees superb playing comfort thanks to the diamond profile. The grass fibres remain nice and straight thanks to the sand and rubber infill. As a result, the grass mat carries the ball, as it were, making it easier for players to get their foot under it. The roll and speed of the ball on natural grass are equalled, if not bettered. Thanks to the unique diamond profiling of the yarn, the grass fibre springs back into place immediately after impact. The dense structure of this grass mat (>100,000 filaments/m²) ensures that the rubber is held firmly in place. The diamond profile also guarantees outstanding durability. In the LISPORT set-up, a test set-up for checking wear resistance, the fibre remains intact after 30,000 cycles. This equates to 15 years of normal football play.
THE FIRST ARTIFICIAL GRASS COMPLETELY BLUE HOCKEY PITCH IN BENELUX
Artificial grass, Artificial grass for hockey, Artificial sports grass

Hockey is normally played on green artificial grass, but not for much longer if “de Hondsrug” hockey club in Zuidlaren, the Netherlands, has its way. In September 2010 a completely blue hockey pitch will be brought into use, a semi-water-based pitch of the Domo® Hockey Xtreme type.
There is already one in Valencia in Spain. Zuidlaren local authority in the Netherlands will now be getting the second blue hockey pitch in the world. Playing hockey on blue artificial grass has many advantages, according to chairman of the Zuidlaren hockey club Marcel Pruijt. “A white ball on a blue pitch is easiest to follow, so the players can follow the play better, the crowd can too, and play is clearer on TV and in artificial light.”
Hockey matches must be played on a green pitch according to the regulations of the Royal Dutch Hockey Association. HC De Hondsrug has been granted an exemption however. According to Marcel Pruijt playing hockey on a blue pitch is the future.,,People are already considering having the hockey tournament at the Olympic Games in 2012 played on blue pitches.”
From September 2010 hockey club Hondsrug in Zuidlaren will be the first hockey club in Benelux to play on a blue Domo® Hockey Xtreme pitch. This Domo® Sports Grass pitch is a semi-water-based pitch. Semi-water-based pitches are grass mats with a high fibre density. These pitches are built on a dynamic substructure, they offer excellent ball roll due to the higher density, they do not stress muscles and joints, and are therefore ideally suitable for technically high quality play. The player can easily get the hockey stick under the ball because the ball lies perfectly on top of the grass and no longer in the sand.

A SINGLE MULTINFUNCTIONAL ARTIFICIAL GRASS FOR FOOTBALL, RUGBY AND GAELIC SPORTS, TESTED IN LAB ACCORDING TO FIFA 2 STAR, IRB AND GAA STANDARDS
Posted by Mofazri at 9:53 AMA SINGLE MULTINFUNCTIONAL ARTIFICIAL GRASS FOR FOOTBALL, RUGBY AND GAELIC SPORTS, TESTED IN LAB ACCORDING TO FIFA 2 STAR, IRB AND GAA STANDARDS
Domo® is launching the best product ever to meet the needs of the sports’ field of the future. More and more clubs are looking for fields that can be used for different top sports without having to compromise the playing properties of one sport in particular.
Domo® VarioSlide S PRO 65, a grass mat constructed with combination yarns using Heliflex technology infilled with sand and rubber is an outstanding field for three different sports: football, rugby and gaelic games, the traditional Irish sports. These Irish sports are namely Gaelic Football and Hurling. This innovative artificial grass product has been tested in the independent “LABOSPORT” laboratory in England. The lab test results were compared with the various requirements laid down in standards for artificial grass imposed respectively by the FIFA 2 STAR (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) and the IRB (International Rugby Board). Domo® VarioSlide S PRO 65, with a 23 mm shock-absorbing layer, brilliantly met the prerequisites for the three sports, even after 20,000 cycles of the LISPORT test. The playing properties for football are foot under the ball, ball roll and bounce, which all achieve excellent scores. The ability to absorb shocks and the grip needed on the pitch in Gaelic football and rugby are, of course, also guaranteed Thanks to the use of the monofilm and the heliflex technology, the rubber only protrudes minimally. VarioSlide S PRO scores exceptionally well at the “GAA Infill Splash Test”. In short, this is simply the BEST artificial grass.
